Paul Heaney is the Sales and Support Manager at Mercury Security & Facilities Management and is based in our Lisburn headquarters. Paul has been with Mercury Security & Facilities Management since 2015.
In this post, Paul discusses his role within Mercury and what he feels are the most important aspects to his role.
1.Tell us about your role as Sales and Support Manager at Mercury Security & Facilities Management?
I am the Sales and Support Manager for Mercury, and have been with the company for almost 3 years now. Although primarily my job is to sell our technical security solutions including intruder and fire alarms, CCTV, access control and automation, I also manage our existing portfolio of customers to ensure they continually receive a first class service. I also work closely with our suppliers to ensure we are always ahead of the game in terms of new technology.
2. What would you say is the most interesting aspect of your role?
Mercury Security & Facilities Management invest heavily in the latest technology which allows me to offer our clients and prospects some of the best and highest spec security solutions available.
3. In your opinion, what are the benefits for businesses partnering with Mercury Security as their technical security solution provider?
Everything from design, commissioning, install and maintenance is done “in-house” thus giving the client a single point of accountability. Our primary focus is customer service and we invest in ensuring our clients systems are the best they can be by utilising the latest technology. I have worked with clients who have had issues with closed protocol systems which restricts who can maintain and service their systems often locking them into costly contracts. Therefore, it is important to work with a company who understand the advantages and disadvantages of open protocol systems. Open protocol systems allow the end user the ability to choose which security solution provider they wish to employ without restrictions. This solution enables the customer to choose the best long-term investment from supply, install, maintenance, on-going support and overall cost year on year going forward.
